We begin our work with in-depth research, getting to know our project’s community, history, and context so that we can develop a unique story and a sense of place. We work with trusted brand identity design partners to hone the brand personality and narrative, and to translate the concept through logos, signage, marketing, and brand touch-points.

While each project is unique, our collaborative implementation with our branding partners follows a cohesive process.

 
  • Collaboration begins with our key designers and branding team to discuss your vision, timeline, requirements, unique attributes, and anything else that will help shape your project's positioning. Our team is developing the design narrative, which will directly contribute to your brand vision.

  • With our research in-hand, we are collaborating and charretting directly with our branding team to develop the project narrative, naming, personas and key demographics, and overall inspiration for visual identity paired with the overall interior design concept imagery to tie all aspects of the project into one, cohesive presentation. This ensures that the brand and design direction are perfectly aligned and are responding to one another, setting the stage for both interior and brand design development to begin.

  • When the overall vision is approved, our design team works directly on the interior design, while the branding team develops logos and collateral, bringing these concepts to life. With IIG guiding the palette, overall interior vision, and unique touchpoints and details, the branding team will use these as inspiration to create branding collateral and logos. Ideally, this is all presented at the same time as the interior design presentation.

    For the rest of the project, we'll work hand-in-hand with branding and our Client to steer the design direction for signage, collateral, menus, uniforms, and anything else that contributes to the story.

  • As the project unfolds, the branding team will lead the effort in developing the final collateral, logos, brand guidelines, website, and any other unique assets, and — if needed — will assist the client in rolling out these elements in the opening of the property, while IIG ensures the overall design intent is maintained and the reality of the vision comes to fruition.
